The Big Reveal

Welcome to The Big Reveal

I enjoy reading author interviews, but often times they don’t ask the kinds of questions I wonder about. So I’ve assembled a group of writers at all levels, from un-agented to published, and every week I will have a new question for them.

Are you artistic/creative in other ways?

Mindi Scott, Published Author
Not . . . especially. I do like to put time into cooking and presentation, though. I love arranging food on pretty dishes and unique platters. So that’s something, right?

Steph Campbell, Published Author
I took photography for years. And I cook. 🙂

Christa Desir, Pre-Published Author
I knit. That’s it. I also don’t follow recipes, but I suck as a cook. I just suck more following recipes. And I creative in no other way. Seriously. I couldn’t draw or paint or do anything else. Except maybe theatre lighting design.

Dahlia Adler, Agented Author
Nope! Writing is really the only creative thing I do, and always has been.

Jenny Morris, Agented Author
Um… I wish I could draw. SO BAD. But I can’t. I can sing. I even started going to school to be a music teacher. But I realized I hate choir music.

Theresa Paolo, Agented Author
I tend to think I am. I’m into photography. Love taking pictures of anything and everything. I used to scrapbook and I love crafts. I see something in the store and I immediately go, I can make that. Not that I have the time to. I also have my degree in Marketing and love the creative aspect of the business.

Lynne Schmidt, Un-Agented Author
I like to play guitar and draw. I’m not so good at either, but it helps me express myself when the words fail 🙂

Are you artistic or creative in other areas of your life?

  1. I like to teach myself new things. I taught myself touch-typing and teeline shorthand, and I’ve also taught myself to knit which is about the only creative thing I can do! Unless baking counts. I bake a lot! I’ve just started trying to use a sewing machine for the first time but it’s slow progress!

  2. Not really. I wish I could do something like paint or get into photography. Haven’t really tried either seriously yet. Not enough time.

What a fun question! Very interesting answers. 🙂 I wish I could draw, too. My husband can, but I can’t make him draw the stuff in my head. 😉
