A to Z – Two is Better than One

April 23, 2014 by Suzi

Often times when I hear a duet, I wonder how the two artists got together. What’s the story behind the song? Like Kidd Rock and Sheryl Crow. Did KR write the song first and then think SC would be a good fit? Or did he write the song having her voice in mind the whole time?

Do they split the royalties half and half?

These are important questions, totally irrelevant to this post. So to get back to the matter at hand, here are some of my favorite duets.

Don’t Go Breaking My Heart by Elton John and Kiki Dee

You Lost That Loving Feeling by The Righteous Brothers

Do you have any favorite duets?

  1. I remember that “Picture” song – good one! :)

  2. Rachel Schieffelbein says:

I have a whole CD of Willie Nelson duets. :)

  3. I don’t know if it’s a favorite, really, but Rob Thomas and Jewel do a nice version of “Here Comes the Sun.”
